We are proud to announce the official release of the Fight Against Love Scam (FALS) digital course, developed by EUth Wonders and partners and funded by Erasmus+. This course is designed to empower individuals, especially those most vulnerable, with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to online love scams.

In an increasingly digital world, forming connections online has become part of everyday life. Unfortunately, scammers exploit this reality, using emotional manipulation and sophisticated tactics to deceive and harm. This course aims to change that.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Fight Against Love Scam Project was created to protect and empower people aged 50 and above against fraudulent online romance scams, as seniors are particularly vulnerable to them. The project is implemented by project partners: EUth Wonders e.V., European Center for Researching, Education, and Consulting, and Igor Vitale International. By providing knowledge through training and resources about the tactics, platforms, and psychological manipulations used by scammers, the project equips seniors with the skills they need to recognize threats and stay safe online. It also addresses the stigma surrounding vulnerabilities many seniors face, such as loneliness or embarrassment, and to create an open, supportive environment for discussion and learning.

EUth Wonders and its partners aim to support seniors, educators, and other community members by providing accessible resources, namely in the form of digital courses, guidebooks/manuals, and tailored resources. The project’s overall goal is to raise awareness, build resilience, and strengthen the connection between seniors, educators, and their wider communities in order to ensure that they feel more empowered to navigate the digital world safely so that fewer people fall victim to love scams.

Why this Course Matters

Love scams can deeply impact emotional well-being, trust, and personal safety. What makes them especially dangerous is how subtle and convincing they can be. Anyone can become a target.

This course engrains into us an essential truth: Being targeted is never your fault. Awareness is your strongest protection.
