We are excited to share a major milestone: the official release of the BikeAgriTourism Digital Course: an interactive learning experience that brings together cycling tourism, agriculture, and sustainability into one cohesive training program.
The BikeAgriTourism project, developed with partners Igor Vitale and the Municipality of Patmos, reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering green skills, rural entrepreneurship, and inclusive education. Developed within the framework of Erasmus+ Vocational Education and Training (VET), the initiative brings together innovative approaches to bike tourism and agritourism, two rapidly growing sectors in Europe.
Agritourism itself offers travelers meaningful, hands-on experiences of rural life, connecting them with farming, food production, and local culture. By integrating this with cycling tourism, the project promotes a form of travel that is both immersive and environmentally responsible.
What is BikeAgriTourism?

BikeAgriTourism combines cycling routes with agricultural experiences, creating sustainable tourism models that benefit both visitors and rural communities. Across Europe, similar initiatives show how cycling can connect farms, local producers, and cultural sites into engaging travel experiences, boosting regional economies and visibility. The BikeAgriTourism project builds on this concept by equipping learners with the knowledge and tools to design, implement, and promote such experiences.
About the Digital Course

The BikeAgriTourism digital course offers accessible, flexible learning for a wide audience, especially concerning agritourism operators, VET trainers, and tourists, particularly in remote areas. The course is structured into interactive two modules and eight thematic parts, each designed to guide learners step by step, from understanding landscapes to creating sustainable tourism products.
Through the course, participants will:
Understand the fundamentals of agritourism and cycling tourism integration
Learn how to develop sustainable tourism products in rural areas
Gain insights into marketing, storytelling, and digital tools
Explore best practices and real-life case studies from across Europe
Build competencies that support green transition and local development
The course reflects our emphasis on practical, applied learning, ensuring that participants can directly translate knowledge into action.
