expert in toys for my special child

Starting from the idea of social marginalization of people with disabilities and from the accentuation of these conditions due to the pandemic with COVID-19, we set out to develop a project that would contribute to the educational process of children with disabilities, who currently have limited access to Learning activities because teaching them online is a real challenge for both teachers and students with SEN.
That is why we set out to develop an e-learning platform for parents with children with disabilities in which to include methods and techniques of working with the disabled child by addressing several work techniques: Montessori, ABA and PECS.
With the help of the platform we will reach a large number of parents who will develop their skills and abilities in the instructive-educational and recovery process for their own children.
Project Objectives
-
Identifying the need according to the characteristics of the deficient child;
-
Selecting the most appropriate educational material according to the child's disability;
-
Working with Montessori techniques, ABA, PECS, Outdoor education;
-
Selecting the most appropriate educational material according to the child's disability;
-
The right choice of toys with psychological and rehabilitative impact on the child with disabilities.
Project Activities
-
Transnational Project Meetings (TPMs) - Three international meetings brought partners together to coordinate project management, define roles, review progress, and align educational content and dissemination strategies.
-
Creation of the E-Learning Platform - A user-friendly digital platform was developed to host all learning materials. It offers free access for parents, collaborative learning opportunities, mentoring support, and flexible self-paced courses.
-
Development of Educational Content - Partners jointly created five training modules in English, later translated into German, Romanian, Turkish, and Czech. Each partner contributed specialist knowledge in psychology, special education, and pedagogy.
-
Learning, Teaching & Training Activity (LTT) - An international training event enabled professionals and parents to exchange practices, deepen understanding of disability support methods, and strengthen cooperation across countries.
-
Dissemination & Visibility - Throughout the project, results were shared via newsletters, online platforms, social media, and Erasmus+ networks to reach parents, educators, therapists, and adult education providers across Europe.
iMPACT
-
Parents gain concrete skills to support their children’s learning and recovery, increased self-confidence, improved digital competences, and access to an international peer community.
-
Children benefit from better-informed parents who can provide structured educational and therapeutic activities at home, helping compensate for limited access to in-person services.
-
Psychologists, therapists, and trainers can use the platform as a reference for European approaches to special education and adapt materials for their own practice.
-
The project strengthens transnational cooperation, builds organisational capacity in adult education, and contributes to long-term inclusion strategies for people with disabilities.
-
By combining digital innovation with family-centred learning, Toy ZONE supports a more inclusive educational ecosystem where parents become empowered mentors and children receive continuous support beyond formal institutions.
